Mrs. Attitude
So, we've had some happy times lately, and some not so happy times. Evie got another ear infection and this time it was in both ears. She was not a happy camper. As a result, we had to give her that nasty pink Amoxicillin. It takes two of us to give it to her. One has to hold her down while the other has to pry her lips open and try to get her not to spit it back out. It's been quite the adventure, one which has always ended in tears and looks of 'I can't believe you would do this to me.' In the mean time, Genevieve has decided that everything we give her is bad. She won't eat rice cereal, which she loved, she wouldn't even eat bananas. She turns her head, won't make eye contact and purses her lips determined that she was going to win this battle. So, I put a little on her lips - which she slyly licked and tasted - but all the while tried to keep a straight face, careful not to show that she really did like it. Eventually, we got to the point where she would open her mouth just enough to fit a spoon in. But don't worry, Mrs. Attitude made sure she didn't show too much liking to the stuff, she didn't want to admit that mom had won this battle and she really did like it.
