July Family Photos 2014

Thanks to Jamie Younker for taking our family photos! They turned out so cute!

June- where we said goodbye

Happenings:
Jonah ate Sushi......... and liked it!!!
 Evie had best friends

We went on a family Vacation with my family and Evie had allergies.  She was a JOY!!!

I think this one is my favorite of her.  Despite how beautiful it was she was miserable.
Evie spent a day with Charles and so we took Jonah to 2nd Dam.

We said goodbye to the cabin, but we also said, "Hello" to three wheelers.
Despite Jonah's face he really was having fun.  He asked Joseph to take him on a ride over and over again. But of course, Evie loved them!!!!

There was a picture of me... doesn't happen very often.

We spent most of June saying goodbye to everyone and trying to get the most out of everyday.  The kids didn't know that they were saying goodbye they just knew that the amount of fun we were having had significantly increased.

Our Bishop

This story is hear-say but I will try to tell it the way it was told to my mother-in-law who told it to me...

Joseph's dad is a bishop in our ward and once in a while he comes in to the primary and teaches the kids about principles of the gospel.  He has tried to keep this up despite his vertigo and the fact that he got hit by a car.  This past Sunday he was teaching the primary kids and Evie, while sitting on the front row, spent the entire time trying to wave at her grandpa.  He finished up and left and the primary president was reviewing with the kids about the priesthood.  Paraphrasing she said, "We are grateful that we have the bishop with us and that is because of the priesthood.  Did you know the bishop has a name? Does anyone know the bishop's name."
Evie could hardly contain herself.  She knew the answer to this question!!! She jumps out of her chair and yells, "Ba-pa!!" Meaning "Grandpa!"
There are props to being in the same ward as your grandpa.  If he becomes the bishop you will know all the right answers.

Color Vibe Run

That is right.  I ran my very first race! Don't get me wrong, I have ran my whole life but I have never paid to do it.  Luckily I had Stina and her husband to run with as well as color stations that would throw cornstarch at you and give you high fives.  I needed some motivation since I wasn't pushing Evie in the cart who tells me to go faster and Jonah who says, "Ready, Set, Go!"

The race and people were too much for the kids.  The music was loud and Jonah was clinging to Joey like a little monkey so they went and played in a field instead and picked me some weeds which they presented to me at the end of the race.  They thought this was the bomb.

The race was fun and I would do it again in a heart beat!!! But next time I think I am going to warm up and stretch a little so my legs don't feel like rubber when I get home.

Randoms in May

This Spring has been a blast!! The kids are so much fun and are getting excited about moving to Pennsylvania! They will really miss their cousins, grandmas and grandpas, and aunts but thank goodness for Skype and video chats!!! The kids live for swinging in the hammock, going to parks, running around the sidewalk in the culdesac, playing soccer, eating ice cream, and jumping on the tramp.  They are really going to miss our back yard.

As of late Jonah loves to talk about Grandpa and his horses or Grandpa and his motorcycle.  Motorcycles, airplanes, scooters, and batman are the big things right now.  He sure sounds like a boy.

Evie made her very own kabob!!! She was very proud of herself but didn't want any meat on it because it was messy.  Mind you, I didn't say she ate it... I just said she made it.
Jonah has a serious fear of lawn movers.  I am not quite sure why but even when he hears one in the adjacent yard he starts to shake and cry.  I've tried to talk him out of it, but not a whole lot has helped.

Jonah loves, loves, loves his scooter!!! He thinks he is the coolest and he is getting pretty good at it too!
